ABOUT ME

Ciao! I'm Lisa, I'm 20 years old and I live in Minusio, next to Locarno, in the italian part of Switzerland.
I live in a beautiful place, in my back there are mountains and in front of me the lake "Lago Maggiore". The best season to come here is summer because there are many interesting events like a jazz festival ("Jazz Festival di Ascona"), concerts ("Moon and Stars") and a prestigious film festival ("Festival del Film di Locarno"). You can swim in the sea, walk in the mountains and appreciate the warm weather and the wonderful landscape. If you come here in winter you can go skiing. Though, Locarno isn't a big city, so it can be rather boring here if you come in the wrong season. And be prepared: Switzerland is very very expensive!
I live with my parents in an apartment with a mansard where there is some place to host you for a few days. So if you wish come to stay in my place, if I'll have some time I will be happy to show you around.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To travel by getting to know local people is the best way to explore other countries, understand other cultures and make new friends. This is why I'm on Couchsurfing.

Interests

I'm interested in art, I love to participate to music, film and theater festivals, I practice sports, I play guitar a little bit, I'm engaged in volunteer activities and, of course, I love to travel.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

After high school I took one gap year from studies and travelled for five months in Sri Lanka, India and Nepal. During my journey I got to know wonderful people, tried to understand completely different cultures and lifestyles than mine and learned a lot about myself.
