About Me

CURRENT MISSION

to work for justice in both interpersonal and systemic levels, to find alternative ways of healing in daily life, and to meet new people and learn new ways of seeing the world

ABOUT ME

I identify as queer, radical, soft-spoken, feminist and kind. I am more sedentary than active, but I like some active things like taking my dog for walks, especially where I can let her off her leash and she can run around in the woods -seeing her so happy and excited and free feels good.

I am interested in self-awareness, self-exploration and new ideas generally about politics, philosophies, spirituality, and people. I like to hear/learn what people are passionate about and have to teach me about the world and themselves.

I am trying to be constantly growing, learning and being more and more authentic with myself and everyone else. I am quiet at times, but eventually, once I'm comfortable, I can talk too much.

PHILOSOPHY

I try to live openly and respectfully, while being gently grounded in my framework of opinions and ideas about the world.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've mostly hosted people, I'm not as much of a traveler as I am a nest-maker. I'm also kind of a busy body, so I'm more of a hands-off host sometimes, but you're mostly invited to any of the social or justice/community based meetings/events I'm headed to!

Interests

radical ideas, building community, feminism, queer identity, immigrant justice, anti-criminalization work, racial justice, being respectful of the earth, spiritualities

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I met my older half-sister for the first when I was 26 and then three years later she gave birth to twins and asked if I wanted to be there. Watching her so powerfully and magically give birth, and then following the babies to be checked out and holding them during their first few moments outside of their mother was amazing.
