About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Encourage a smile from at least one stranger a day :)
ABOUT ME
I am a California born girl recently relocated to Melbourne for uni. I'm studying integrative nutrition with an emphasis in holistic health. I love to cook and eat delicious, (mostly) healthy food. The occasional bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich never hurt. I love good beer and trying new wines.
Australia was the second country outside the states that I've been to. I've been bitten by that awesome travel bug and am heading to Thailand for 6 weeks in December. Melbourne is home base for the next year and I'm falling in love with it daily.
PHILOSOPHY
A few years back, I found a journal I had written when I was around 10 years old. In it, I had addressed the questions of life and philosophically defined from a child's point of view why I am here on this planet. It read: "To be happy, to make others happy, and to help the animals". I'm still sticking to that same philosophy 14 years later. I'm hoping to share my knowledge of life and learn from each interaction and experience I have. Whether that is as simple as a new word in German or cracking open a new beer Ive never tried to volunteering with at risk youth, I am just here to embrace it all!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I have yet to stay at a couchsurfer's place, but back in SF the house I lived in was a really popular couch surfing pad. I would be up to hanging out with travelers, meeting people to travel with, and hosting if I get the opportunity.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Hosted many couch surfers at the shared house I lived in San Francisco. The past surfers were linked through my housemates account, I always had amazingly positive experiences.
Interests
Im open to trying almost anything once but some of my favorite things are: Food, beer, cycling, camping, meditation, music- EDM, blue grass, hip hop, funk, rap, etc etc. Dancing, writing, hiking, wine, yoga, baseball (Go A's)

Teach, Learn, Share
I would love to teach any willing learners how to cook. I tend to eat more vegetarian meals just because my family was vegetarian for a long time, but I can cook a mean BBQ as well. I also would love to share meditation techniques and the little yoga that I know. I have grown kombucha in the past and can help with that.
I would like to learn new languages, more yoga, and how to fix bikes :)
