ABOUT ME

I'm a Swedish journalist who has been living abroad for a couple of years - in Bangalore and Bombay in India, and Bucharest in Romania.
Before moving back home my husband and I travelled for 8 months in South America and in India (the home country of my husband). Travelling is my passion!

Since a year back I'm based in my home town Stockholm, Sweden again.

I love travel, meeting people and learning about different ways of life.

When I'm not on the road, I'm a freelancing business and IT journalist - a free life :-)

PHILOSOPHY

I believe in doing what you truly wish to do, regardless of the opinions and expectations of others. This is extremely difficult to do, but it's important to try. And equally important is to respect when others try to do the same :-)
For many of us, finding out what we really desire in life is perhaps the biggest challenge.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have previously both surfed and hosted. On Couchsurfing and on Globalfreeloader.com.
Right now, our apartment is so small it's not really convenient to surf with us. As soon as we get a door for our small bedroom we'll reconsider :-)

I find couchsurfing a lovely way to meet open minded, friendly people from all over the world.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like fantasy and horror movies, but I try to watch less horror movies since they make me afraid of the dark. I guess that's a bit silly when you're 34, but I've always had a very vivid imagination.
My husband Siddarth is a big Pink Floyd fan.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I trekked the Inca Trail in 2002 and found it amazing. It was a very peaceful, spiritual experience. I did it in September 2009 with my husband. An amazing walk!

One thing I love about travelling is how people open up to strangers so much more when they are on the road.

Teach, Learn, Share

My area of expertise would be journalism. My husband is big on cricket :-) We also have knowledge about our home countries, Sweden and India.

We both like to learn about pretty much everything.
Myself, I'm especially interested in other cultures and how people think and live in different parts of the world.
