I am a 45 year old mother of 3. I homeschool our children and we travel a lot. My background is in nursing. I am also an artist and enjoy crafts, but my favorite thing to do is read.

PHILOSOPHY

Love, love, love. Nothing else matters. Not the abstract, passive idea, the world needs more active kindness and compassion.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I just joined and beacause we live in such a rural area, I doubt we will ever get any surfers. I hope to get to know more people around the world and make lasting friendships.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

When I was a teenager my dad and I used to travel with just a backpack. We have crashed at a lot of interesting places, most notably a church on Isla Mujeres in Mexico.
Going to college in Charleston, SC we always had folks crashing with us.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Having kids is amazing. Every day is new. The fullness in your heart is indescribable.

Teach, Learn, Share

Everyone has a story. Everyone has something to teach as well as something to learn. As a housewife, my life may seem mundane, but I try to make every day special and challenge myself to make the next one better.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I always carry a small watercolor kit when I travel. I would love to paint with my hosts. Hopefully, you will end up with a momento, a few skills, a new friend and great memories.
Cooking is another hobby of mine and a small way I can return the hospitality of hosts opening their home to me. Alternatively, I can just bring some hickory smoked barbecue from my hometown in South Carolina.
