Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Taking a little step back from my online business for a couple of months to do some volunteer work in California.
ABOUT ME
Practical and intuitive. Always writing and inspiring, I take life's lessons and pass them along to my online tribe. Positive, thoughtful and capable.
PHILOSOPHY
Be kind and live a life of purpose; listen to your intuition and contribute to the world in your own unique way.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I have a natural tendency to help people to let go of their stress and enjoy life more. I have the ability to help people to talk through their situation and come out the other end with more insight and even a solution if that's what they're seeking. And I'm a great cook! :)
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
It's been a long time! In Sept 2012 I Couchsurfed in Stockholm, bunking up with an Indian student and a Spanish traveler - we stayed up until the early hours watching movies and then spent the day on a walking tour of Stockholm. I was grateful for the fun and unusual experience!
Interests
I write songs, and I sing very well and play guitar quite badly.
I'm fascinated by our purpose, why we do stuff and what makes life fulfilling - I guess that's spirituality, philosophy, psychology...
I've spent time in monasteries, I meditate, do yoga when the mood takes me, and walk or cycle everywhere when possible.
I adore dogs, and appreciate art, culture and nature.
I'm that person who can miraculously put a well balanced meal together when there is "nothing" in the fridge...

Music, Movies, and Books
I tend to hold on to reference books - atlases, dictionaries, that sort of thing. Everything else I pass onward - there's no point something sitting on a shelf. I particularly loved the book Pay It Forward - what a beautiful concept. Music?Everything from breakbeat to kirtan!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
An artwork installation in London by Richard Wilson called 20:50. Basically, a room half-filled with black engine oil so that the oil reflects the ceiling and you think it's the floor. Walking down the "gangplank" into the room, I was clueless until the gallery attendant softly blew into the oil to make ripples. My entire perspective turned upsidedown in an instant. Incredible.
Teach, Learn, Share
Something I want the whole world to understand:
Gratitude. Without it, you have nothing. With it, you have everything.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Intelligent and insightful conversation, reiki, life coaching, singing to your guitar playing, cooking (I'll show you how to make a really simple yet totally mean banana bread!), great company, and a little help around the house! :)
