Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have been a host in Andong and now Gwangju for about 4 years. It's been great! I like hosting travelers in Andong and showing them Korea's traditional culture. I moved to Gwangju last year and have hosted a few people here as well. We can go hiking at Mudeungsan , take a bike ride on the river, enjoy the city life or just chill in my apartment.
I have traveled all over Asia and Europe and have been hosted a couple times in Europe. It was a good experience.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've been part of couch surfing for a few months now and it's fantastic! I've met so many interesting people and I love helping out travelers. I like making them feel at home with a nice meal and a good glass or wine or beer. I look forward to meeting more cs members in Europe this summer.

Interests

I spend my free time doing things I love. Singing and playing guitar, hanging out with my friends, chatting about life and just having a good time. I usually get along with just about anyone. I like to meet new people because I always learn something new from them. More recently I've been volunteering at an animal shelter and I go there on Sundays so if you like animals you can join me to walk the abandoned dogs.

Music, Movies, and Books

Foreign Films are the best (Amalie, Babette's Feast etc..) I like many types of music, anything that makes me feel good. I'm Canadian so I love Neil Young and folk music.
I like books about Eastern philosophy/Indian philosophy and psychology and have a strange obsession with Vedic astrology! I love to learn about new artists and directors and great books so lets share this together :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Rescued and rehomed a dog that got hit by a car. I couldn't watch her die because I'm too compassionate!! I got a lot of help but now the dog is in Canada alive and happy.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you basic Korean. I am arriving practitioner so I can give you some reiki. I am obsessive about vedic astrology so I can try to give you an explanation of your chart. I would like learn about your country and culture/language. Share conversation/worldly perspectives/original ideas!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I have 2nd level reiki so I can give you a reiki treatment if you are open to it. I'm currently obsessive about vedic astrology so if you tell me your birth date information, I can do a small reading for you !
I can also share my kitchen. I love to cook and drink wine.
I now have 2 dogs that are at my boyfriends house so if you like dogs we can walk them together.
I have a car so if you want to take a country tour in Damyang, I'd be happy to go there. We can go hiking or walking around in the rice fields (with or without the dogs) and enjoy some good country food or cafes. I love nature!
