Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
I live and work in Toronto. Most of my trips now are shorter than they were in the past, but I still surf often. I definitely owe the community and I'll try to host you if you give me enough notice!
ABOUT ME
I have been all over the world and my favourite way to travel is by bicycle. I am up for just about any adventure or challenge. I spend a lot of my time playing sports, playing bridge, eating strange foods, drinking red wine, and cycling everywhere and anywhere.
PHILOSOPHY
Stop talking about all the cool stuff you want to do and start doing it. Most pursuits are not actually that difficult and most things are affordable if you don't buy that dress/electronic/car/house/couch/etc.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I have couch surfed and hosted plenty and am keen to do it my whole life (wishing I had joined cs ten years earlier!). I do as much as I can given my ever-changing circumstances. I was getting a bit jaded and tired of travel and couch surfing really revived it for me. It has revolutionized my life and many of my closest friends are from this site!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have probably couch surfed with 100 different people by now. I've hosted a few dozen and hoping to contribute more now that I'm all settled down!
Interests
I'm really into any and all sports. Not watching them-- playing them. I cycle everywhere.... literally. I commute and travel on my bike. I read a lot (but mostly listen now to audio books while I'm on my bike). I love drinking and partying.

Music, Movies, and Books
One hundred Years of Solitude. Steinbeck. Dostoyevsky. Forrest Gump. Life is beautiful. Game of thrones
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I biked up through Thailand and down through Laos. The northern part of Laos was unlike anything I have ever seen-- very under-developed, people's houses had no walls, kids didn't wear clothes or go to school-- but everyone seemed friendlier and happier than any other place I went. It was a cool experience.
Teach, Learn, Share
I have travelled to heaps of different places in a variety of different ways (bicycle, motorcycle, backpacking, luxury travel, cruising, coaches, camper van). I was also a travel agent for a year and a half. I know a lot about travel. I also love to share my food and drinks with people. And I'm good at eating.
