About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Trying to cope with that weird time in life when you're in between graduating from university and starting to work fulltime (or running away from the later).
ABOUT ME
I am a 26-year old who just finished her Master degree in communication science. I'm originally from Munich, Germany where I've lived for most of my life.
Although I love my home town (what's not to love about giant beers, mountains, FC Bayern München and the best traditional folklore costumes in the world?!) sometimes I get itchy feet and need to run away.
So I ended up studying in Helsinki and Dublin meeting some of the friendliest folks on earth, drinking the weirdest things you could imagine and getting used to shitty weather. If you think living in Finland during one of the toughest winters of the last decades is hard, let me tell you about my time as a intern in Reykjavik, Iceland which broke all the records for me (also: met more friendly folks and encountered weird drinks and food there. Seems to be my thing...).
If you couldn't tell already: I love to travel, meet new people and cultures and try new things. I would describe myself as sociable, uncomplicated and talkative (hey, I studied communications - I was trained for years!).
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
My living conditions make it hard to host people but I am always up for an advice about Munich! Also write me when you are visiting and I can show you around if I have time!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I surfed about 4-5 times (in groups and by myself) and always had the best time. In my eyes couchsurfing is way better than staying in a hostel if you want to get to know your destination in a short time.
Interests
Just like everybody here I like to travel, obviously.
Besides that reading is my big hobby - my biggest dream is to live in a library!
Currently I'm also really getting into hiking and doing more "nature stuff" after overcoming my childhood trauma of my parents dragging me up a Bavarian mountain every weekend.
I'm a huge fan of Northern Europe and Skandinavia. For me it doesn't get much better than staying in a small cottage in the middle of nowhere with your own sauna and a chill beer before you jump into a lake under the midnight sun
And yeah, a little party never killed nobody... so I'm always up for a beer or two

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Ice-swimming in Lapland and watching the Northern Lights from a naturally heated geothermal pool in Iceland
Teach, Learn, Share
I speak a bit of French (what is left after four years of school French) and it has become one of my all-time New year's resolutions to promise to myself that I will start going to a course THIS year... let's talk about it next year.
