About Me
I just finished my master degrees in psychosocial counseling and wanna take the chance to grab my backpack again and fulfilling one big dream of mine: traveling to South America (again!). I fell madly in love with this continent on my last longer trip so I’m back again. Therefore I wanna meet people, get to know as much culture, food, history and present of the countries I'm in, as well as the people I am pleased to meet - maybe you! :-)
Podemos hablar español también si tienes paciencia conmigo haha but on the way there we can communicate easily in english - I could teach you some too (or German if you're keen doing that).
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Travel to places to stay at places that are just invented for people visiting the city (hotels, hostels etc.) is not the most authentic way to travel as foreign people would never go to these places. I think its awesome that people open their homes and share what they have and the other way around. You get to know people you probably never would have met elsewhere and can share some stories, time and traditions. I love to hear about lifes from different people, how they design and live their life and what their passion is, what they live for.
Interests
I'm into sustainability, just interested in how we can do our litte contribution to making this world a better place in looking at what we are consuming and how we choose to live. Connecting this to the relations to other people and with myself as well I’m very into mindfulness, healthy relations, psychology and meditation. Also I love the nature, hiking and get lost in the woods and mountains - so I’m really excited going to Patagonia this year! :) Also love doing yoga (but still beginner!) and kick-boxing!
Music, Movies, and Books
I love people who are into music - for real. I love listening to music someone is passionated about, if its by playing an instrument or by showing me new stuff on record. Could listen to someone playing guitar or piano like forever. Love spanish music and dancing salsa though I'm looking forward doing that :)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
One? I love so many things about my travels so its hard to pick THE favorite but being in the mountains in Bavaria, Germany or Austria is definitely one of my favorite things to do - just nature and hiking - I love it.
Feeding and petting an elephant in Thailand, being three days on board of an old boat on the Mekong to Laos, sleeping in the outback in Australia under the most beautiful sky and doing a road trip with my sister in Ireland, sleeping in the Atacama desert with millions stars above me or being in Rio de Janeiro - these are definitely some of my most memorable travel experiences :)
Teach, Learn, Share
I can cook quite good - vegetarian food :) Can teach you how to cross stitch or astrology if you're interested. Love deep talks about the human psych and philosophy too. Beneath that I'm not as crazy at it sounds haha
