Overview
About Me
I'm a New York gal about to make a big move to Northern California for grad school. Before that happens, I'm embarking on my first solo backpacking trip through Europe and would love to connect with as many cool cats as possible.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
My roommates and I have had great experiences hosting in Brooklyn and Rochester, NY. I "freeloaded" off of those friend-making/hosting experiences, meaning that we connected with travelers using their accounts. This is why I don't have many references, but I'm really excited to try this thing out on my own as a surfer.
Interests
I love to create things, whether it's a painting or tray of lasagna.

- dancing

Music, Movies, and Books
Music in all forms is really important to me! I love to see live music wherever I travel and some favorites include Wilco, Tame Impala and good ol American bluegrass. I took 3 West African drumming classes over the course of college and still have no rhythm.
I have to admit that I am no movie buff and usually am entertained by a wide variety of films. I have recently been enjoying watching movies by paying attention to the visual composition frame by frame - in terms of the cinematography - and this is something I love doing. An artist at heart!

Teach, Learn, Share
I am a big science nerd, and am going to school next year to develop (neuro)science education programs. I would love to teach you a thing or two about the big gray blob otherwise known as the brain.
