About Me

Hello/ Ola/ Salute/ Sawadee/ Mingalabar/ Namaste/ Selamat Datang/ Marhaban/ Shalom!

I've been a bit of a nomad the past several years, in addition to being:
-a traveler with a soft spot for mountaintops, riverbeds, and jungles
-a human rights activist
-queer
-a clarinetist
-a singer in the shower
-an avid doodler
-a lover of literature and spoken word poetry
-a lover of food (vegetarian) and of cooking

I've split my time between human rights organizing and traveling the past 4 years, working and wandering in equal measure. I'm most at home with my head in the clouds, my feet in the ocean, and my hands in the mud.

A lover of music (all kinds!)- if you are interested I'd love to share some tunes or sing along while you make the beat. I'm a terrible dancer, but I'm always in motion regardless. Primarily interested in sharing good food and good stories and adventuring; roaming far and howling loudly.

I've worked in a huge variety of countries and spaces, from refugee camps in Myanmar to beekeeping farms in India; I'm always interested in learning something new- especially from a passionate source!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've hosted couchsurfers before with my roommate in Bangkok and really enjoyed everyone who stayed with us. I'm travelling in the middle east for the next few weeks with a limited budget (free accommodation is the best!) and would love to share space with people who know the area and would like to share some meals, recipes, music, and fun. Looking to make some friends and some memories.
