ABOUT ME

I was born in Hackensack, NJ, but raised in Raleigh, NC, where I currently live & absolutely love! I love to travel, but have found myself low on funds as of late. Hopefully, my next adventure will be to England this summer (2015). I can't wait!!!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Right now I'd be fine to take people out and show them around the Raleigh/Durham area, but our place is small and money's tight. If I don't renew my lease, I might be able to "let out" my couch/facilities in the future if my boyfriend is cool with it! (If we do, please note that I have a cat).

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We have had someone visit us, but she already had a place to stay in the area. Pauline ended up eating dinner at our place & we had a great time! :)

We hope to meet more people soon, though.

Interests

I enjoy reading, photography, painting, mini arts & crafts projects, soccer, biking & hiking and pretty much anything outdoors. It must be said: I enjoy being outside, but not camping. :P

Music, Movies, and Books

I like indie-films, foreign films, anything by Wes Anderson & stuff with dry humor and OBVIOUSLY movies about travel! To be more specific, Life Aquatic, Up in the Air, Amelie, Darjeling Limited, A Map for Saturday, Wild, The Edukators & Chungking Express are some of my favorite films.

I enjoy emo, semi-screamo, punk, indie and postrock. Some bands off the top of my head: Imogen Heap, Regina Spektor, Arcade Fire, Sigur Ros, Mono & Mum.

I have been reading a bit more lately, mostly travel books and fiction. Vagabound & The Geogrpahy of Bliss are my favorite travel books. The Hunger Games series is my favorite fictional group of books at the moment.
