About Me
Dear person, that clicked on my profile,
I am Lisa, 24 years old -living in beautiful Helsinki, my home of choice for nearly three years already.
I talk and laugh a lot and I am a very social person, which is why couchsurfing is a great opportunity for me to connect with people from all over the world.
I work as a teacher, producer in the cultural sector, babysitter and curator for befriended artists. I also still study and focus in my research on performative teaching -as a concept for changing language teaching in its very basic ideas.
My interests cover a wide range of things and my hobbies currently include beekeeping, kayaking, swimming and Yoga.
I am interested in everyone's story and opinions. Talking is the key to all the problems we are facing on this planet and everybody can be an inspiration to the people he or she encounters.
If you wish, I can entertain you with my very lousy ukulele and guitar skills combined with a medium singing voice. This is optional. At least I cook and bake decent food.
Looking forward to meet you!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Couchsurfing connects people and gives you a completely different insight into a culture - that is, what I love about it and why I hope to couchsurf way more this year. If I have any New Year's resolution- this might be it.
And of course, I am happy to not only take, but also give. Unfortunately, I can't host at the moment, but if you are in town, let me know. I love to show people around and introduce you into my Helsinki. Though I am not originally from here, I know quite a lot about it and have some good places to take you :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I had the great luck to sit in the cockpit of an airplane during my flight to Turkey a few years ago.
Teach, Learn, Share
I am very happy for any kind of input you can probably give me. I would be happy, if you find the time to show me around a little, but of course and don't expect you to, in case you are busy.
Should you be able to teach me a little about playing guitar, that would probably be the most lucky coincidence, because I would really like to improve my "skills".
Since I already mentioned, that I am interested in languages, I would also be happy to learn a few basics in your mother tongue as well.
I can provide everyone in need with German lessons, funny stories, hugs, a big smile and a lot of energy. I am basically never tired and never in a bad mood.
What I Can Share with Hosts
As probably everyone does here, I try to be the best guest, you can probably have. I am happy to cook for you and try to share, whatever you might be enjoying to learn or discuss. I laugh a lot, but I am also very interested in many topics and enjoy real discussions, that actually lead to a point and intense exchange of ideas.
So, I try to show you both sides of me, if you want to: The sunny-funny and the interested listener and passionate speaker.
