About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Learn Czech

ABOUT ME

I just moved to Brno to do a language course of Czech. Before that, I was on the road for 1,5 years and in the prehistory I was studying two years of art (painting, drawing and photography) and for sure it was an interesting time, but "art education" became more and more frustrating and a restlessness grew to explore the world for myself, so I decided to take some years (?) off to travel and learn this way. I really love being on the move and from time to time working on farms (wwoof) or seasonal work to earn for more travels. I grew up in the city but feel more and more a need to be close to nature, especially mountains. I love listening to people (and animals), wild camping, sitting around campfire, listening to people's music, walking, going to cafés, alternative cinemas, conferences, concerts, museums, dumpster diving, hitchhiking,... And on the farms cleaning stables is my favorite, but also milking, feeding, hugging cows, cutting wood,... :) I'm concerned about the mess some multinationals, politicians,... are making. Power to the small farmers!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Very good! I surf and host and meet fantastic people!

Interests

I love cows, nature, music, agriculture, films, camp fires, art, boardgames, like chess, languages, spontaneity, people, goats, cats and sheep, .... but I'm also interested in history, politics, societies,... There are little projects sprouting everywhere in Brussels (and all cities) like collective gardens (jardins collectives), 'guest tables' (tables d'hôtes) dishes made with 'wasted' food for free contribution, and transition towns, guerila gardening, etc. These initiatives make me optimistic, instead of just listening to the news and become cynical and pessimistic... :)
