ABOUT ME

Hi Couchsurfers! I am Lisanne, and I live in The Hague since March 2012.

As probably all people here on Couchsurfing, I love to travel and meet people from around the world. For my studies I travelled to Bolivia and Brazil; an amazing experience! In Brazil I had my first couchsurf experience and fell in love with the concept. In Wageningen, I had courses with classmates from around the world. Now that I work, couchsurfing is a good way to continue to meet people from all different places :) And to keep up my language skills; Habla español? Fala Portugues? Let's meet, talk and exchange! I can help you with the Dutch language if you like :)

I like to chill on the couch and have good conversations about all kinds of topics and be serious, or go out and dance and be more crazy :). Love to go outside on my bike, spontaneously do things. I'm a bit dreamy girl, and I think I can say I'm pretty easygoing and flexible :) Love to laugh and share stories.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I experienced so much hospitality in other countries, I'd like to give that to travellers in my country as well. And then I heard about the CS project :)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My first couchsurf experience was in Brazil! That was amazing, Mari was the best first host I could wish for :)

Because of house keeper situations it's a bit difficult to host at this moment. But if you visit The Hague, I'm more than up to have a drink, and discover the city together.

I like to go to couchsurf meetings in The Hague, I went a couple of times to the Spanish Club to practish Spanish with other couchsurfers.

Interests

I love to travel, meet people, exchange languages and learn from different cultures and life styles, to play the piano, to go cycling, listen music, to run on the beach, to have dinner with friends, to dance, go to theater... well, I love lots of things :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

When I was 18, my parents let me go alone to Costa Rica for five months. I had saved money, bought the ticket and arranged a language course. That's when my love for travelling was born, and it turned out to be the first of some beautiful travels. Still grateful to my parents that they let me go alone at that age!

Teach, Learn, Share

I've learned not to be afraid to go travelling by myself; along the way, help has always come my way, sometimes in ways that I had never expected. The world is full of beautiful people :)
