About Me

Hi everyone! I turned 40 recently and a few weeks later, for the first time in my life I decided to travel alone. I started in a small city of France : Clermont Ferrand. I was helped in that decision by a new addiction i had developped to Space Invaders hunting.

Last summer I spent 6 weeks in the US. One month in New York and then I crossed the country with the Greyhound bus, a 3-day trip. That was one of the best memories I got there.

Traveling alone was like an epiphany to me. A girl I met there told me that traveling with other people is only 50% of the experience. That is so true.

For me, the more important thing is to have no regrets. I am a positive and openminded person. I wanna enjoy every single moment like if it's the last one.

What i do in my free time (when not travelling ;-) :
- Space invaders hunting (like Geocaching but with points and worldwide competition!)
- Boardgames : i have more than a hundred at home and i'm also volunteering in an association that helps blind people to keep on playing
- Sport : i do Body Combat which is like fitness but so much fun! I also go running sometimes but i like a good company for that!
- Books but i have trouble focusing so it takes me a while...
- Movies : in winter time i spend a lot of time in cinema
- Enjoying being outside
- Admiring the sky : sunrise, sunset, night, clouds during the day, the moon... ther's always something beautiful to catch
- i love animals, especially dogs but also love to look for wildlife. Best memories of my US/canadian hikes : i got to see bears, foxes, coyotes, moose, elks... Woow
- Volunteering : in my my boardgame association, but also in a place that provides homeless people a roof in winter time. I also give my blood and platelets the most i can. I love being helpful for others. This is like a super power!
- Tibetan Bouddhist meditation. I'm only starting, once a week with a group. But i love the idea of learning to find your own private ressources in case of trouble. And who doesn't want to feel relaxed?

Music, Movies, and Books

MUSIQUE
Agnes Obel, Eminem, Radiohead, La Femme, Zoufris Maracas, Die Antwoord, Massive Attack, Thierry Corporation... I love very different styles

MOVIES
I love the french cinema. I also appreciate Pedro Almodovar. But i'm open minded. If the movie is good, I will be curious. I'm just not a big fan of fantasy, action, especially the Marvel and Comics stuff.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

On a greyhound bus in the US i met a guy who was out of jail the very morning. He was so cool, smiling and sweet i couldn't believe it. We talked for hours and then saying goodbye was heartbreaking. I had been warned about all kind of weird people i was gonna see (Homeless, alcoholics, addicts, mad people, people out of jail...).. But I wasn't prepared for that. That moment was pure grace, pure human meeting. I will never forget it.
