HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've met some wonderful people and got to experience what it was like to live in Jakarta, Indonesia, Alpine, TX, Bangkok, Thailand, and Marfa, TX. I've also hosted a few people while I was on working holiday living in Melbourne, Australia. I actually ran into one of the guys I hosted about 8 months later in Rishikesh, India and then again in Delhi! Small world, thanks to couchsurfing.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

It's great to be introduced to amazing fooood by locals, both homemade and at restaurants.

Interessen

I love practicing and teaching yoga, hiking, riding bikes, speaking Spanish, scuba diving, going to see live music, reading and watching movies. Also, eating and drinking.

Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe

Too many. But seeing the friendliness of all the people of the Philippines and Myanmar, even those who are monetarily impoverished, was really beautiful and had a really positive effect on my own frame of mind.

Scuba diving is an amazing travel hobby. I've had amazing 3rd and 4th dives around Phi Phi, Thailand. Got to see 2 turtles, an octopus, anemone crabs, moray eel, and some black tip reef sharks all in two dives! Recently l got my advanced divers in Koh Tao and went on my first wreck and night dives. So exciting!

Lehren, lernen, teilen

After living and teaching for a year in Daegu, South Korea I've really began to live out my dream of experiencing and learning more about other cultures and countries. Gaining advice on where to do this best, or from first hand encounters with people from other countries, is what I hope to accomplish using couchsurfing.
