About Me

[this section is in progress after deleting all the cliché "twentysomething" formulations previously written]
I'm Lisa, French-Greek nationality confused. I grew up in Greece, moved to France, then Guatemala and then France again. I'm currently living in Austria with my boyfriend Lukas. We like to travel together. We're quite easygoing and quickly interested in lots of things. You'll see, we're cool people!
I speak English, Spanish, German and Portuguese in addition to my mother tongues.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I spent a year in Guatemala in a shared house (we were 8 housemates at some points) where we often hosted couchsurfers :) I already liked the concept of couch surfing before, but it made me realize that it was really nice to meet people for a couple days before they hit the road (again).

We may be able to host people at the moment, depending on our work calendars.

Interests

I play underwater rugby and can speak about the sport for hours.
I love traveling, hiking (trying to complete the 52 hikes challenge in 2018), exploring places by foot, taking pictures, reading and talking about stuff (litterally anything).

Music, Movies, and Books

The range is VERY broad and I don't really have "favorites". I like reading quite a lot - here's what I've read lately, am reading currently, and would like to read in the future https://www.goodreads.com/user/show/37289458-lisa
But I do really like Game of Thrones (books and series) and occasionally grab a random dystopian young adult series (you know, the ones with a clumsy female protagonist who hates the system but ends up saving the world and marrying the guy she hated at the beginning) and read 3 tomes in 2 days.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Live in Guatemala for a year, and travel a week by myself in Costa Rica.
Move to work to Austria without speaking the language.
Hike every month for a year in the suburbs of Paris, wonder at the diverse landscapes and rejoice in the wonder I see on the faces of the people we take with us (check http://levoyagemetropolitain.com for actual info).

Teach, Learn, Share

I play underwater rugby, am very enthusiastic about the sport and can take you to training on Tuesdays and Sundays.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I think that giving back is an awesome concept, and as I like cooking and we all have to eat, I always try to cook something for my hosts and guests.
