About Me

Im a pirate, unicorn and banana loving girl, who wants to learn from people from every country, nationality, religion, with different interests and imaginary brain farts. Currently I am traveling around the world, and I think I there is no moment in my life where I smiled more than during traveling. I know it sounds extremely cheesy, but I like them cheesy! I will always be a Dutchie.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

As I said before, I want to learn more about the mind. What better way to learn from other people in the comfort of their own home. Learning about culture, religion, thinking, universe, everything! So much that I don't know, so much that I want to know.

Interests

My biggest interest is definitely music. I love to explore what other people like, and learn more about it. My favourite genre is definitely 60's and 70's rock and roll. When I am going to build a time machine, I want to be 25 in 1969 at Woodstock festival. Or a rock concert of the Doors.. so much options! But first: let's build a time machine.

Music, Movies, and Books

My all time favorites: The Doors, War on Drugs, Fat Freddy's Drop, the Who.
Hippie-traveling-books, at the moment: Shantaram, Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance, Shadow of the Wind trilogy. Looking for advice on good poetry books! Besides the one that Jim Morrison wrote.
Movies: everything from Wes Anderson, The Young and Prodigious T.S. Spivet, A Beautiful Mind, Wall-E, and so much more.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Thinking canyoning was canoeing

Teach, Learn, Share

Willing to learn everything about the mind, poetry and religion (momentarily reading about Islam and Buddhism, since I found myself in Indonesia). I can teach folding paper boats. Share? Everything!

My wish list
- breathing under water;
- living in the clouds;
- to be continued...

What I Can Share with Hosts

Paper boats, laughter, pisang goreng (after I learned how to make that)

Countries I’ve Visited

Belgium, Cambodia, China, France, Greece, Indonesia, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Mongolia, Nepal, Netherlands, Russian Federation, Spain, United Kingdom, Viet Nam

Countries I’ve Lived In
