ABOUT ME

You know these moments in life when you simply feel to 100 % happy? It simply overcomes you and you feel that u are exactly in the right place in the right moment? i remember some of these very special moments of pure happiness and freedom while travelling. mostly while discovering our world's beautiful sceneries, and really, our world is incredible. But also during very simple moments, sitting in front of a cafe playing backgammon in ethiopia, sitting in the middle of an overcrowded ferry sharing rammadan - night meals with everyone around, sleeping in the sand on the beach or on a field to protect the crops from being eaten by wild animals ...all these moments make my life so special and when i come back home, i often realize how lucky i am to be able to travel and to experience everything. many people back home will never be able to experience other perspectives on life than their own,...we should appreciate the chance

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Normally i just met people on the streets who know someone who knows someone in the place i want to travel to - and i love this kind of spontaneous travelling, getting to know a lot of different kinds of people,and staying at their homes to get to know their way of life, culture and opinions...now i start to discover couchsurfing as a way to travel the same way in more "infrastructuralized" countries where u might not meet hosts somewhere as easily as in africa, where i used to travel..i dont feel like spending my time only in hostels or backpackers, and cs is a wonderful way to connect different people from all over the world simply because they love to meet and share!

first of all i am interested in interculturality, different perspectives on life and different ways of life(apart from facebook, twitter, capitalism, egoism..i am a bit on the search for the balance between a sustainable life and personal happiness in life..:)
i love music, reggae most of all, but also dancehall, soca, jungle, ragga, gospel, bongo flavour, deep house, electro...anything depending on the mood.
i love reading, jumping into fiction,
discussing anything for hours philosophically or politically,
sitting somewhere in cafes and bars watching life and having good conversations, i love the oceans, mountains, deserts and woods of our planet, i'm interested in organic planting and am vegan..
i love being in africa, especially eastern africa, and i always feel the pull in my stomach back to kenya - at the same time i am eager to discover other parts of the world i am dreaming of..
