ABOUT ME

I am Lisa. I am a 6ft tall, blonde, Canadian. I'm super outgoing and friendly and love to meet new people. I first heard about couch surfing through a good friend of mine while I was in Austria in 2012. It has been awhile since I've been online but I am excited to be back! At this time in my life, my boyfriend Josh and I are travelling around Central America beginning in Panama and ending in Mexico. We are only away for 3 months and would like to make the most of our time while meeting new people, experiencing tons of new things and being cost-effective at the same time.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm just getting back into couch surfing after a few years away. I've met a bunch of people both in Central America and Europe who are members and who've had great experiences couchsurfing. I had an awesome first experience in Zurich and would love to host people once Josh and I have a place in the same city!

Music, Movies, and Books

I love pretty much any kind of music but am partial to electronic, chill and alternative/rock.
I may have a small obsession with Harry Potter... more so the books, as I grew up with them, but I must admit I have a guilty pleasure for the movies as well. I also love just about any film with Ryan Gosling, Steve Carrell or Jim Carrey.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

My very first time scuba diving happened after a 5 minute lesson in a 4ft deep pool. We went to The Bay of Pigs in Cuba and proceeded to dive up to a depth of 90 ft! This prompted me to get my scuba diving license in Vancouver, after which I was only certified up to 60ft. (This was after weeks of lessons and pool practice, followed by only 2 ocean dives.)
