I was born in Uppsala in Sweden, but I have moved around a bit since then in the southern parts of Sweden (Skåne and Blekinge). I studied game design and ended up starting a flash game company with two of my friends. We split up after two years and I started to work at another company where I created learning games for kids. It was a great experience but after starting to learn Japanese for a trip to Japan, I kind of got the idéa of starting to study there as well. So now I live in Japan and I have just begun to take a master in Media Science and am researching about Animation.

I love being outdoors. I think it is the only place where I can truly relax and feel how the time has no meaning. I could sit a long time alone and stare into a river trying to perceive every detail but I also love to hang out with friends and meeting new ones. I think that every encounter with people enriches life, but then again, every experience enriches life.

I used to train Brazilian jiu-jitsu. Unfortunately I have not practiced it since before I moved to Japan, but I really want to pick it up again! It is so much fun, and it is a great feeling afterwards. I also used to dance Swedish Bugg for about one year and it was also super fun.

I guess that I should also mention that I have a cat that I brought with me from Sweden. It was quite a challenge to get him here.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have never tried couchsurfing before, but I always thought that it sounds really great. To get the chance to see a place from the eyes of one who lives there is a totally different thing than seeing it with the eyes of an outsider. I have no plan to couchsurf right now, but if I can give that experience to another person that would be amazing to!

Interests

I love to go wandering and camping or just hang around in a hammock or something.

I also like to play video games but lately I think that board games have taken the upper hand. But then in the end of the day, I usually just end up reading manga or watching anime.

Music, Movies, and Books

I mostly listen to alternative indie rock I guess, but there are a lot of interesting music out there. I tend to listen to the sound more than the lyrics and if I am to concentrate I tend to listen to instrumental music.

Favorite or not, but movies that I could definitely watch again it would be Snatch, Fight Club, Princess Mononoke and The girl who leapt through time. Then the anime called Paranoia Agent is a definite favorite.

I want to read books.. but I have poor concentration abilities. For the moment I read a manga called Dorohedoro. It is kind of weird and rough I guess.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Road trip in Europe! Me and some friends I just met decided to go on a road trip for three weeks. We only had a destination so we mostly decided on the go about where to drive next and where to set up our camp. No expectations, just great fun!
