Why I’m on Couchsurfing
-To travel! (I haven't been to a lot of countries, yet I aspire to see the world)
-To learn new things
-To explore outside of my comfort zone (YOLO)
-To experience different cultures from the inside
-To make friends from all over the world
(-To save my bank account from dying)
Interests
always been dreaming about being a doctor.. Volunteering at hospitals somehow is relaxing for me. things happened and I'm no longer premed, but I intend on pursuing a PhD in biology and focus on academic research. An 'accidental' film class freshmen year made filmmaking another love of my life. so I'm probably gonna a medical professional making films on the side lol
Having moved to the US in 2014 for college, I learned to cook the hard way (burning all my meals the first two days). But since then food had become an inseparable part of my daily routine and interests (70% of YouTube subscriptions are food-related channels).
I took German sophomore year, thinking that I would hate it. But by the end I fell in love with learning languages. Growing up I've had on-and-off attempts at learning Korean, Japanese, Spanish, Esperanto and French.. but now I'm taking it slow
-Wherever I go, I have to get postcards.
-Taekwondo/boxing is probably the most badass thing I've ever done.
-I spent three days in Chicago biking through the city and along Lake Michigan.
-Give me an interesting book I can stay still for a whole day.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: no particular taste, as of right now I'm listening to a lot of Macklemore and Kendrick Lamar
Movies: Hitchcock, documentaries, suspense; I love making films but am still working on getting more literate in the cinematic world
Books: so far my fav books are all by John Grisham:)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
A couple I've done so far: dropped out of high school after junior year to pursue college education in a different country; spent one month on a distant Caribbean island snorkeling, hiking, and doing research; almost died once when snorkeling back from far ashore, I hit a rock hard and somehow survived without getting hurt.
Teach, Learn, Share
I love talking about food, cooking, languages and maybe practicing some taekwondo moves. And I would love to learn about new cities, new countries, or food I haven't tried before! have only been living a not-so-eventful life these two decades, but I would love to share some stories of my nerdy life so far over tea/hot chocolate/coffee
What I Can Share with Hosts
my open mind and weird/mostly good cooking:)
