ABOUT ME

My name is Elisabeth, but most people call me Lissy! I'm a friendly person who loves animals, meeting new people, good food, and exploring new places. I'm a non-smoker and I always make sure I'm a helpful guest when someone is nice enough to host me! I'm passionate about music (I'm in a band, I write my own, and I sing in 3 choirs at school!), farming and gardening, photography cooking, and learning from new cultures. My favorite places to be in the world are in the backcountry of Colorado and on Sprout Creek Farm just hanging out with the cows!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have just accepted a research fellowship from the LUCE Foundation to study organic farming in Hokkaido, Japan. Before I start my 3 month fellowship in rural Japan, I hope to experience the city of Tokyo!

Music, Movies, and Books

I LOVE documentaries and I'm a comedy snob. I love all types of music but I have a special place in my heart for American folk music, opera, choral music, bluegrass, and most indie music that I hear on campus. I love being in movies and making music as well!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The most amazing thing I've done is go waterfall diving in Scotland! A close second is every time I see a calf born at the dairy farm where I work, I cry every time!

I'm a good cook and I'm great with kids, so if I were to surf your couch, I would be fully at your service! I'm also great at leading singalongs or can serenade my hosts personally!
