About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Having a lot of fun, trying to learn a lot of things and always searching for a new adventure.

ABOUT ME

I'm a very talkative person, I tend to be easily impressed and to have fun. I think life is an adventure and the best thing is that it's mine. I like to dance, I like to cook and eat, to travel and to be amazed by new things. I like history to remind us why we are here and to present to work and make this planet some place with a better future. I like to be from Latin America, cool place to grow up as a human being.

I've been studying Social Communication for the past three and and a half year. I also decided to study Latin american studies, because that's where I come from and I couldn't have chosen a better place. Now I received the opportunity to take a year abroad in a university in the northern part of Germany, very near Hamburg.
I really love what I do, mostly because it involves a lot of writing, and a lot of courage and effort to see what you wrote turned into a product that can reach more people. That makes me feel committed, I come from a country where things aren't very well and sometimes saying the truth in the media can be really dangerous, it is really demotivating, that's why I hope to be part of a more venturous generation, I'm hopeful we will be able to change things as they are now.

I've been a volunteer working with adults and children teaching them to write and read, relate them with art, music, painting. It is something so incredibly rewarding that I would like to do it in all of my incoming youth years.

I would like to go back to my country and work in different projects involving development and sustainability.

PHILOSOPHY

I believe we are very small beings and that we belong to something much bigger than us. I am respectful of the environment around me, animals, nature, ecology. I have faith in the courage of human beings and I think we must fight against the injustices of this world.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like the beatniks, the french damn poets, Mailer, Wolfe, Hunter S. Thompson, Henry Miller, Bukowski, Kurt Vonnegut, Capote, Nabokov, Dostoievski, Paul Auster.
I die about "Coming of age" movies, novels. There is a catalan writer that does it better than anyone, his name is Kiko Amat.
My all time favorite is an hebrew autor whose name is Etgar Keret, he just has the most powerful way to describe youth's loneliness and mischance, by all means.
Mostly I listen rock, reggae and ska. Movies are what I enjoy the most, from a very old classic to new film proposals.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The coolest thing I've ever done is do what I want to with my life and not what other people want.
The most amazing experience I have had in my life is the opportunity of working with the zapatistas in the jungle, and alphabetize people, that changed my life and definitely inspires what I want to do with my life when I finish school.

Teach, Learn, Share

Would be interesting to teach somme interesting stuffs about my country, I think that maybe for people who come from abroad is a very intriguing culture and I would like to help them understanding it.
One of the thing I love the most about traveling is getting to know people and listen to them stories, I think we see so many things that we are eager to share them so, I really love to listen and to tell, I think that kind of reciprocity makes us better persons.
