About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Enjoy life!

ABOUT ME

Hmmm.....what to say? I'm a fairly cheerful, laid back person. I try not to dwell on the negative things in life, and I always have a smile on my face. My favorite things to do are cooking, baking delicious desserts, and traveling.

I lived in Japan for about 3 years, working with various English teaching programs, but I was in and out of the country for the last 6 years. I am always looking forward to another adventure. I've been attempting to learn Japanese for more years than I want to reveal (with mixed results).

PHILOSOPHY

Smile ^_^

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I can't host anyone these days, but I'd love to meet up to chat at a coffee shop, or go out for a meal. I'm also up for local sight seeing if you have something in mind!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I'm fairly new to CS. I've met a few couch surfers on my travels, though mostly it was by chance, but they've all been wonderful people!

Interests

I'm usually willing to try something at least once. I am partial to traveling, cooking, baking, reading, and gardening. I also practice yoga, and occasionally go for a run if the weather is nice.

Music, Movies, and Books

I always enjoy listening to music and watching movies, but reading is where my heart is. Books have always been a huge part of my life. There isn't a time where I haven't been reading some sort of book or story. I have my favorites, but I'm always looking for suggestions. If there's one thing I've realized over the years it's that you should never stick to one genre of anything; you lose out on so much if you do!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

USA Summer Camp in Japan has got to be one of the most amazing things I've ever had the chance to participate in, and by far the most rewarding thing I've ever done.

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach: I love to cook and bake. I've got no professional training so a lot of what I've learned over the years has been from watching and helping my mom cook, trial and error, cookbooks, and of course the internet. I love exchanging recipes and would be happy to teach you what I can about cooking (though I may be a bit rusty from living in Japan so long).

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can always share stories, but food is one of my favorite things to share!

Countries I’ve Visited

Bahamas, China, Jamaica, Japan, South Korea

Countries I’ve Lived In

Japan, United States
