I was born and raised in the Netherlands, but moved to the UK to study at a uni in the North East. I love living in England, although there are several things I miss about home (family, friends, Dutch bread, proper bicycle paths - to name a few).

Intereses

I really enjoy reading and writing (kind of a given, given what I'm studying), watching films, going to musicals and plays (and listening to their soundtracks), having major hanging out sessions with my friends, baking, socialising, and seeing new parts of the world.

Since music and movies are more difficult, I'll just go for the books:
The Book Thief by Markus Zusak is one of my all-time favourites. Other faves are Harry Potter, I'll Give You the Sun by Jandy Nelson, the Throne of Glass series by Sarah J. Maas, and The House of Special Purpose by John Boyne,

I'd consider moving abroad and studying at a foreign uni pretty amazing. I also wrote the draft of a novel last year, which I'm proud of.
