About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Finding myself

ABOUT ME

I'm a Russian immigrant without an ounce of an accent. I grew up in southern California- San Diego- and after 22 years left it all behind, filled my car with my belongings, and moved to Virginia to work on my Masters degree. I finished my Ph.D. in clinical psychology through the University of Wyoming, followed by a post doctoral fellowship at Duke. I now work through an integrative practice to teach people how to live a value-driven life.

My free time is spent reading, being outdoors, practicing yoga, and eating delicious food. I am a dog lover and can easily spend the night staring at rolling waves or stars. It is very easy to amuse me and quite difficult to shock me, and I thoroughly enjoy the company of vibrant, intelligent people :)

I enjoy being able to contribute to the experience of couch surfers that visit the local area that I am in, and am excited to meet new people in my own upcoming travels! I hope in the future to establish a home-space where I can host people as I have been graciously hosted before.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I took a trip of a life time to Israel in October 2011 where I experienced a new found sense of motivation, a spiritual revival, and was inspired to do more with my life.

I have visited 38 states!

Teach, Learn, Share

Did you know:

--You can use mustard seed compresses to help cure bronchitis
--Tea bags can be used to help flush out eye infections
--Penguins have feathers, not fur
--Sting rays are unique in that they have "eggs" inside them but actually have live births
--In an argument, a man will become more physiologically agitated quicker and for a more prolonged period than a woman
--the etiquette for eating with chop sticks in Chinese culture is vastly different from that of others- say, Korean

That's enough random facts for now. I can't wait for you to teach me something!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can bring you treats, teach you helpful stretches, and play joyfully with your pets. I can also share music and photography.
