Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Getting prepared to run the Half-Marathon of Lisbon!
ABOUT ME
Travelling, reading, learning, trying to understand different people in different places...
And, on a more daily basis: being raised by my 3 kids, which involves travelling, reading, learning, trying to understand different people in different ages!
PHILOSOPHY
Short life, but long enough to share many things.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I'm ready to offer my couch and meet visitors... when available... which has unfortunately become a bit more rare in the past few years with 3 kids around!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've hosted couch-surfers in Martinique, but haven't really couch-surfed yet...
But living during 4 months in a Peul family in Bamako, Mali was some kind of loooong couch-surfing, a decade ago :-) Travelling to Gossi, Gao, Djenné, and Mopti has given me other occasions of beeing welcomed. Having experienced such a warm welcome from people I didn't know before, I've tried to give this back with my own hospitality, whenever possible.

Music, Movies, and Books
Mostly non-fiction books (biology, information science, philosophy, psychology...), but I also like to dive into a novel from time to time.
My favorite writer is Howard Buten ("When I was five I killed myself" and so on).
Music : folk/world music (Bretagne, Ireland, Quebec, Scandinavia, Western Africa...), jazz (acid, jazz-rock, free jazz, funk...), classical... all musical blends...
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Living in Mali was one of the most intense experiences in my life. I had always dreamed of discovering Africa and its inhabitants, and Mali definitely IS a place to MEET people.
Teach, Learn, Share
Not much to teach except web subjects, carrick knots, and piano basics.
A little bit more to discuss and share.
And a mind-boggling lot to learn :-)
What I Can Share with Hosts
We do have a spare couch in our living room, but with the presence of our 3 little room-mates, we can unfortunately rarely host visitors.
We dream of moving to a bigger house which would allow us to feel more welcoming!
