About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To do more worthwhile things with my time.
ABOUT ME
I am 26, and have lived in Manchester since attending University. I know Manchester pretty well, so if you want to know anything/go somewhere then give me a shout. In particular I have a great knowledge of Manchester bars and pubs... after much research.
PHILOSOPHY
I'm not too sure really. I probably need to live more in the present... I'm always dreaming of something in the future, generally travelling, or other life changing things.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Interesting sounding cs social events in manchester.
I've been to quite a few CS events, from the regular pub event at the Salisbury, and can often be found supporting our pub quiz team.
I will probably think up some events to organise... a few upcoming gigs, beer festivals spring to mind and some hikes.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Have been to a few of CS events in manchester, and had one person surf my couch. Mainly just looking to meet new people at the events though.
Interests
Hiking, biking, pubs, cinema, existing, beer, gigs, saxophoning, pub quizzes, organising adventures, going on adventures, sitting on grass in the sunshine.

Music, Movies, and Books
I'm not really into reading books at the moment, and haven't been since finishing Uni. I started reading Let the Right One In, a Swedish vampire novel which was excellent, but then I left it on the train... that was quite annoying. I'll probably purchase it again soon so I can finish it.
I like quite a lot of music, and love going to random gigs in manchester, especially at the Deaf Institute most recently. My favourite bands at the moment are Spokes, Metric, Maps and Tunng.
I'm pretty into films, generally of the intellectual/pretentious/boring variety found at the Cornerhouse cinema. Lately, i've lost the attention span to watch these films and prefer mindless/pointless/ridiculous comedies (Napoleon Dynamite, Team America). I can still find an hour or two to watch a film by my favourite director, Wes Anderson, though.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Going in a little boat around icebergs in Western Greenland at midnight, and then lots of humpback whales arrived. It was pretty epic. (and chilled our beers in a bucket of iceberg ice we fished from the sea). This was my favourite day ever.
Cycling round some of Northern Vietnam visiting some cool stuff was probably my second favourite day ever.
I would guess my next favourite experiences were probably hiking in winter in the Scottish Highlands somewhere.
Actually, I find most things amazing, and generally find most things amusing that other people wouldn't.
Countries I’ve Visited
Austria, Canada, Czech Republic, Estonia, Finland, France, Greece, Greenland, Hungary, Iceland, Italy, Malta, Morocco, Poland, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Switzerland, Turkey, United States, Viet Nam
