ABOUT ME

I'm addicted to coffee and live music. I love mountains and Dennis Kucinich more than any one person should. I follow the Avett Brothers around the country because I'm addicted to their music and live shows. I'm married to my job and we have 50 kids. Having 50 teenagers is overwhelming and frustrating at times, but I love it and I can't imagine my life without them.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I don't have a space of my own at the moment (so I can't host), but I'm more than happy to meet couch surfers for a drink or dinner.

I'm also excited about the prospect of meeting other couch surfers during my quest to follow the Avett Brothers around the country.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've informally hosted couch surfers during my college days and those were some of the best times of my life. I've also done my fair share of informal couch surfing while on road trips and the like.

Books: William S. Burroughs, Jack Kerouac, Allen Ginsberg, Augusten Burroughs, David Sedaris, Milan Kundera, Foucault and Judith Butler are some of my favorite authors. I'm really into reading social theory and books/articles on contemporary social problems.

I also can't live without my weekly dose of The Office.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Taking a hike through a rain forest to swim in fresh water springs probably tops the list.

Teach, Learn, Share

If you want to talk social theory or discuss social issues, I'm your gal. I can teach you how to open a bottle of wine with nothing more than a shoe and a belt buckle. I'm also an expert at squeezing a bottle of wine into a nalgene bottle (you know, for all of those events that call for contraband alcohol).
