I'm a very lucky person. I love music, particularly the guitar. I can't sing or play, but I won't hesitate to do either! I'm not a competitive person but I enjoy sports (Aikido, running, cycling). Food's important to me, I'm on a plant-based diet (vegan). I love animals and try to live a little more sustainable every day. I'm fascinated by science and modern technology but also by eastern philosophy. I'm a computer geek and really fond of free software / open source and new technologies.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've had many people stay on my couch and thoroughly enjoyed the company every time. So far I've had guests from Germany, Italy, Taiwan, the US, Poland Turkey, South-Africa, Canada, England, Israel, Hungary and Australia.

I've surfed only once, in Sydney.

Interests

I enjoy learning... anything really, from languages to sports to communication techniques or cultural/religious traditions. I am very grateful that I've come in touch with nonviolent communication, it's made me realize that I am in control about how well I get along with people.

Music, Movies, and Books

I read mostly non-fiction. I love Hermann Hesse, particularly Siddharta. I love Frank Zappa but also more "classical" composers, particularly Bach. Metheny and Buckethead are my guitar heroes ;-)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Thick raindrops tumbling out of a clear blue sky, glittering everywhere as they drop on thick, dancing, evergreen tree branches, on their way to the ancient streaming river, quietly on its way to the valley below the mountains. Water in silent movement all around.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Not much in the way of tour-guide or all-night-party-animal, but we can have a relaxed evening at the couch, cooking, making music, playing games, talking... Oh and I do have a decent espresso machine ;-)

I love chess but I also enjoy more social games.
