À propos de moi

Heya!

I am an openminded girl that loves to get to know new people. I am usually very relaxed and grounded, but also love to be silly and talk about a hell of a lot of nonsense. I mean, who wants to loose their inner child? I like to go out with friends, do sports, enjoy the occasional glass of red or a good book for that matter (preferably an exciting thriller). I think hanging out with me is usually pretty fun.

I used to live in a shared flat in Berlin and the flat had its own CS profile (https://www.couchsurfing.com/users/3671473/profile). Check it out for more references!

Pourquoi je suis sur Couchsurfing

I LOVE the idea of surfing the couch of local hosts and getting to know their culture and being granted a sneak peak into their lives. In general CS have so much to tell, it's an absolute pleasure to get to know so many amazing people through this platform!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We hosted heaps of people at our lovely penthouse in Berlin - Wedding and so far it has been great! I got to know so many wonderful people from all round the world, we shared our stories, food and culture. When I moved to New Zealand I finally started surfing as well and I loved it! My hosts have been so generous with me, providing me with advice, help and an incredible amount of kindness. I'm glad to be back to Germany, having my own place again and being able to give back this amazing generosity once again.

Centres d'intérêt

I love to learn just about anything. I recently started teaching myself how to knit. Just finished my first cap. ^^ Also I started to take up guitar lessons in 2012 and I wanna get back into playing the piano one day. I love music, used to sing in choirs all during school time. So yes, I used to be one of those nice little choir girls ;) now I became a project manager for construction projects.

Traveling is probably my biggest passion. Experiencing other cultures, seeing new things, hiking along unknown trails, tasting different food…
It doesn't get better than that!
If you stay with me, sharing a traditional meal of your country, would be devine!

Morceaux de musique, films et livres

I have to admit, regarding movies, I really have some catching up to do.

When it comes to music, Soul, Blues, Jazz, Ambient, also Punk Rock, Folk Rock, Indi Rock and even Electro are to be found in my iTunes Library. It just really depends on my mood…
To my mind you can't just listen to one type of music, that's like saying there is only one flavor of ice cream. That's crazy! Sometimes, especially during winter time I just love chocolate, but never even try buying me chocolate ice cream on a hot summer day, I just won't eat it. I'd rather have a scoop of lime. And if that new Italian place next door opens with 50 different flavors, can you seriously tell me, you wouldn't even try at least 30 of them?

With books its a little more straight forward. I love good thrillers. If they are psycho, even better. I think the books of Simon Beckett are awesome, also Jonathan Kellerman, Dan Brown and Thomas Harris. I just finished a book of Sarah Smith, which was really good as well.

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue

Traveling around Italy in an old VW bus, sleeping in it just about anywhere and painting it with chalk along the way… Well that was a pretty amazing trip. :)

Being part of the first Tough Mudder in New Zealand, volunteering as well as participating and training my butt off for 4 months in order to finish that thing has been awesome! Showing me, that everybody can accomplish just about everything if they just really want to! It's all about your state of mind!

Skydiving in Abel Tasman, New Zealand, Scuba Diving in Thailand

Working on a dairy farm for 2 months and learning about the real Kiwi farm life. Eating freshly hunted meat, fresh eggs from our hens and drinking fresh milk from our cows after a hard day's work. For me… Once in a lifetime experience and oh so great!

--> that was more than one… Oh well… If you travel a lot… It just adds up. Who could possibly decide what's been the best one?!

Enseignez, apprenez, partagez

I am really good in drinking a couple of beers. haha If you need some teaching in that, I'm your girl! I'd love to learn pretty much everything. From juggling through to building an engine.
