About Me
We are an international couple (I'm Belarussian and my husband Cem is Turkish) who loves spending time actively, that's why it is difficult to find us at home in evenings after work during the working week and on weekends)) (let's not take into account the quarantine time when we watched all the movies on netflix)) ) Usually we go somewhere by bike - besides the great pleasure we get from motoride it has a great advantage because we don't stuck in traffic and it is a huge advantage for such a city as Istanbul, we can easily go other part of Istanbul by bike just to drink a cup of coffee or eat a slice of best in Istanbu delicious pizza or just because we missed that district)) it would be a torture to go there by car.
When we don't have a chance to go somewhere abroad we travel in Turkey, going even to close to Istanbul places is satisfying for us and we always find what to do regardless of the season)) for example when it is winter we try to escape from Istanbul a couple of times in a season to the mountains to do snowboarding, we love it!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
We wish we had a chance to travel more, but unfortunately our work is not online and not a kind of work that allows you to travel every time when you want. That's why we can go abroud or have one week vacation not more than twice per year. That is the reason why we registered on Couchsurfing (we registered here a few years ago but didn't use the website), accepting guests from different countries we can not only help them with accommodation but take a part of their culture communicating with them, because it is always important for us to know the culture of people, their style of life and way of thinking in countries we travel to. And it is always very interesting and exiting! That is also the reason why we try to explore more non-tourist places while traveling to get closer to unknown to us culture and learn smth new and interesting.
We believe that not places but people make the country the way it is and add its special country atmosphere. We are open minded and don't afraid to try smth new, we don't judge people for their lifestyle or way of thinking, everybody has right to do what he wants or to think the way he does, and if it doens't seem good for us it doesn't mean it is wrong, it is just different and we accept that.
Likewise it is a big pleasure for us to show around the city we live in and I can say that you can be sure that as locals here we know Istanbul and must see places here very well. Cem was born here and knows Istanbul very well, about me we can say almost the same with the only difference that I don't know roads well but for almost 6 years I lived here we have been wherever it was possible))) and as locals who are active and love spending time outside we know not popular but breathtaking places which the tourists don't know but which are must-see in istanbul as in our opinion. So, we can show you the real Istanbul (if we have time for that and if you want our help about it, or otherwise we can at least guide you) and we are sure that you will love it, because it is impossible not to fall in love with it!)))

Music, Movies, and Books
We can say that we are lucky that we like same music genre, because it's cool to listen to songs you enjoy together, while going somewhere by car, enjoying beautiful view somewhere outside, or even just getting ready for work or having breakfast at home putting on your lovely piece of music. Generally, both of us prefer rap. One of our favorite rap singers is Basta (if you like rap I'd highly recommend you to listen to his songs, especially if you know some Russian you will fall in love with his songs, because besides nice voice and music, his songs have also really good meaning. We get used to listen to pop as well, some songs are nice and make you want to dance or sing along)) A special place in my heart belongs to light rock, for example I adore Imagine Dragons!
