My name is Liubov (which means love in Russian), but my friends call me L.
I am an exchange student and translator, my work is to translate movies and cartoons from different countries, thus learning about their culture and behavior (which is really fascinating). Also, in my free time, I like to draw and travel. Although I have not been to many places, my dream is to visit as many states of America as possible as well as visit other countries.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

About different cultures like America, I mainly learn from theory, news, and movies, but it is not enough. To enrich experience, and tell something about my culture, I need more interaction with representatives of another country, like couchsurfers and that is why I need couchsurfing.

Books: I like to read Russian literature, but apart of it I like Hunger Games, all books by Stephen King.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I am trying to grow in many areas of endeavor, there are many things that seem amazing to me that I have done. But for today, for me, it is that I won an exchange grant among several thousand Russian students. And now, thanks to this bold step, I am in the US and plan to continue doing things I could be even more proud of!

Teach, Learn, Share

I've always loved the idea of sharing experiences and knowledge between people. How great it is that I can share what I know about Russia, and how great it is that the people I want to meet on a couchsurfing can also tell me things that you won't find in textbooks and articles, show me their real life.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share many things with you: jokes, Russian culture, language (if you want to learn some useful phrases in Russian, I can teach you, because my second education is as a teacher of Russian as a foreign language), of course, some souvenirs, etc.
