About Me
Hi I’m Lin!Hope your message or profile contains enough information for me to have a general idea of you. Pls finish reading my profile before sending a message or request.
ABOUT ME
Love, joy and curiosity about this world! Open-minded, curious with a deep passion for nature and different cultures. Human beings are the aggregate of relations, with people, and the whole world.
I value deep conversations and meaningful connections a lot. Topics that I’m currently interested in: self-awareness, attachment style, intimate relationship, neuroscience, anthropology, complex PTSD, self-reparenting. Might or might not be able to show you around depending on my schedule(usually quite full) but would still allocate time to have nice conversations if I decide to host you.
I’m now working in Beijing in a big U.S. tech company. My daily work involves talking with tech startup founders, venture capitals, incubators and accelerators. It’s always exciting.
Former journalist: Interviewed Henry Kissinger, Ray Dalio, and Jim Rogers and many more random but more fun entrepreneurs.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
At end of 2018 I travelled in Thailand Malaysia for a month and Couch-surfed the whole way through. The joy of feeling welcomed by and connected with people you’ve never met in a strange land was just amazing!
Interests
Care about social impact, esp. sustainability. Run a community of 200+ ppl that organize swap events where people bring things they no longer need and swap with each other.
Dance salsa almost every week. Started in 2019 and it’s one of the best decisions I’ve ever made!
Love nature and documentaries, especially BBC ones. Favorites: Animals are Beautiful People; Baraka; Winged Migration.
Love cats and dogs! Volunteered for a stray-animal drop-in centre to help those poor little ones find new homes.
Like sports and outdoor activities. Two half-marathons and a 50km walkathon. Recently started bouldering and rock climbing 🧗♀️
