CURRENT MISSION
become an anthropologist
ABOUT ME
I was born to a very traditional family, so traditional that almost nobody in my family likes to travel and I'm an exception. I traveled to several countries on different continents while I was an undergraduate in China and now I live in the United States as student.
I was born in China and I grew up there but I found the United States is a better place for me to live. I feel free here, and I like the atmosphere of doing anything (except illegal or immoral) with nobody telling me what I should or what I shouldn't.
I prefer to move and live in different places. I enjoy the feeling of lying on the bed of the place where I've just arrived and have no idea about.
I can speak Chinese, English and French. I also learned some Russian and Spanish and Latin and Japanese. You are most welcome if you teach me your language, especially thank you because I find it seems the most frequently used in many cultures.

PHILOSOPHY
I live my life because my parents gave me birth.
But I'm doing a little bit more than they might have expected me to. They would not have imagined I could go to so many places while I was a kid when I was extremely timid.
And now I finally live in a country where I have freedom which I could not enjoy in the country where I grew up.
But now I'm brave enough and capable of doing anything, ordinary and extraordinary. So when I'm with you please help me by discouraging me from doing crazy things.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Participate...I enjoy life so much that I can get some fun from nothing or even boring things, especially when I am traveling. I don't enjoy whining. Although sometimes it is useful to whine just to get rid of tire and annoyance but it creates aftermath.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've couch surfed several times but all in the home of people whom I had met before, or the home of friends of people I had met before.
I couchsurfed in Bloomington, IN this summer for the first time. That is a wonderful experience. I would say only living in people's home can really substantiates your experience of traveling. (which is why I'm gonna apply for a PhD in anthropology.)
