About Me
CURRENT MISSION
to live, love, and let live, love
ABOUT ME
I am. Oh man, go and ask Sartre or Shakespeare about that one. You could say I am a dancer, artist, earthling, learner, and part time everything in between. I was born in Pennsylvania US, moved to Japan when I was 16 (alone) and have been living in Shizuoka for over 13 years while traveling. I Studied international relations at Shizuoka Prefectural University and realized politics is not my thing so I decided to major in Japanese literature (books are my other love). Got out of school and hit the world. When I'm not dancing, traveling, reading, writing, or playing, it probably means that I am asleep. Im a philosopher on a large playground. I live for the kick, and the tao. I want to know something from you!!!
PHILOSOPHY
Never get used to anything.
Take comfort in the fact that there is no point to anything. We have this amazing amazing amazing gift called existence and oh how people get used to it.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
It has been great. Nothing but great experiences! Oh brother, I wish I could write them all. I should probably add a sentence a day and make a nice project out of it but then it would take all the fun out of you meeting me. One of the best ones was meeting the guy who got me started, David the Pilgrim. The month travel in Europe with my girlfriend Hitomi in Nov-Dec 2011. The US, Europe and Africa trip in July-Dec 2014 with my now wife Hitomi!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Everything i see is amazing, its not supposed to be there. Some more impressionable ones would be...
Having that special link with my twin sister.
Having that special pat on the back with my brother.
Realizing upon arriving in Chicago that I had been around the world.
Realizing upon reaching the coast of Japan that I had sailed around the world.
Staring across the Himalayas at Mt. Everest.
Helping move a family of orphans to their new home with everything they own on the back of one truck.
Losing my camera on the Nepali highway and getting it back.
Meditating at the birthplace of Buddha.
Cutting the bottom of my foot in the Mama Ganga and it healing perfectly.
Climbing Mt. Fuji for the 4th time on a full moon and watching the sunrise with both of those glowing spheres at eye level.
Spending a week at Minato Elementary, Ishinomaki Japan, helping the survivors of the devastation.
Crawling in the tunnel between North and South Korea.
Finding love, losing love, finding love.
Getting head butted while trying to set up shop on Venice beach.
Having rent a van break down in small town in Australia due to snapped fan belt, leaving 5 of us to sleep like sardines for 3 nights.
Making war veterans cry in Sydney for simply dancing.
The upside down reflection of my eye lashes in a refraction of light in a glove fiber.
Occupy in 5 different cities.
Sumerian clay tablets in the Pergamon Museum in Berlin.
Spreading peace while interpreting and translating amazing guest speakers on a cruise ship.
Doing a lap around the Great Pyramid.
Crossing the Panama Canal 3 times in 24 hours.
Getting married, to the one and only Hitomi, surrounded by cherry blossoms and 160 of the (most of) the closest people in my life.
