ABOUT ME

I am a teacher, traveler, yogi, beach bum from a farm.

PHILOSOPHY

"Everything happens for a reason, really???". I think we are the ones that make things happen. Not everything, but we do have some control over our worlds. We have the power then, to try and make new, different, or good things happen instead of just rolling along with the system or maintaining the status quo. My theory then is good in a way and scary in another because while it means we have the chance to cause change which is cool, it also means we have the responsibility to act to change the world for the better which isn’t easy.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

My idea of traveling for the last few years has been that the people are more important than the places. When I heard about couch surfing it sounded perfect to me because I was getting tired of the hostels. I have most enjoyed my time spent with locals, and I think it works the same when couchsurfing friends come to stay with me.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I had some great experiences couchsurfing in China last May. I have hosted some wonderful people since then. Hosting is like continuing your travels.

Interests

I am interested in discussing world politics and religion. I am interested in how to improve my country's image in the world. My favorite thing to do is meeting new people and having discussions on how to make our world better.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Walking on the Great Wall in China or the glaciers in El Calfate, Argentina. The crazy Futbol games in Rio de Janeiro, and Buenos Aires. The passionate Tango dance in Buenos Aires. My job teaching middle school in South Central, Los Angeles.
