COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I was a little bit sceptical about the whole CS thing. Then my sister joined CS and had one of her best travelling holiday of her life.
Few of the people she met then came to visit us in London. They were all really lovely people.
Again one of my friend drugged me to a dinner at a couch surfer's house during a holiday together in Berlin.
There were lot of couch surfers there. Beautiful atmosphere.
You are with strangers yet the atmosphere feels quite intimate. You feel instantly connected with others.
Living in a metropoly, people seem always not to have time. The interpersonal relationships are the one affected the most. You always end up losing friends if they live on the other side of town.
Can you imagine, in thess circumstances, to have time for strangers?
You don’t look each others in the eye and you never end up cracking a joke with a random person on the tube. Everybody minds their own business. And don’t you dare to wave Hello! to that cute little kid in the buggy. You’d immediately be looked up as a potential dirty paedophile!
I grew up in South Italy and down there hospitality is embedded in the culture. (By the way my mum is inviting you all to stay at our family house whenever you want!).
I miss being trusting in fellow humans and instinctively welcoming.
Couch Surfing offers a dimension in which I can regain all that.

Centres d'intérêt

Everything that is art, performance,design and social issue is my thing. But I have a quite curious attitude and I love to be introduced to new things and being esposed to different influences.
I don't really have a scentific mind but I love pop science.
I love discussing about ideas, but let's not make it too theoretic philosophy. In the end of the day I am a designer. I have a too much of a practical mind for that.

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue

Being brave enough to look at the path that I was walking on and realizing it wasn't for me. And then starting it all over again. Along the way I've learned that I am not understroyably strong. I can be quite fragile at times. But this is good. It has made me much more compassione towards myself and others.
