I finished high school in Vienna, Austria two years ago and after that I wanted to get out of the bubble I had lived in for the past 18 years as well as to get out of my comfort zone, discover a new culture, meet new people and most importantly give something back. So I decided to volunteer in the Republic of Moldova for 10 months and it turned out to be one of the best decisions of my life. I acquired an unsurmountable amount of experience by working with highly traumatized children, in an orphanage as well as in an old peoples home and whenever I look the people I work with in the eye and see their joy and gratitude I realize that I could not be happier at the moment. Now, I am studying Cognitive Neuroscience and Psychology in Utrecht, the Netherlands and I am absolutely living my student life!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I absolutely adore travelling and thereby meeting new people. Whenever I can, I try to exchange opinions with people from all over the world and to gain more knowledge and wisdom in order to constantly broaden my cultural horizon. Personally, I believe that couchsurfing is an amazing possibility to meet inspiring people from all over the world that allows you to delve deeper into a culture than you would by travelling "normally". Moreover, I am convinced that couchsurfing promotes the joy of life and spreads a lot of positivity!
