ABOUT ME

Sustainable builders/designers/crafts people living and working together in the woods in a small rural town. Interested in all things related to the built world, particular vernacular buildings, processes and material.

We are not terribly interested in bourgeois life and the uptight, sterile reality of modern existence so if you're a corporate bot, like sterile landscapes, televised sports and middle class living, a visit here might be too disturbing for you.

The usual routine of country living; gardens, chickens, etc, mixed with meals, work and the small and not so small pleasures of life. You should not be afraid of bugs or wild animals, feral humans or the occasional outburst of spontaneous zaniness.

Family friendly household with lots of kids always running around. We welcome travelers with kids. If you do not have kids, you certainly must like them cause they tend to be all over visitors.

Local omnivores but veg/vegan friendly. Social drinkers, wine with meals, like to bake artisan bread and make beer.

PHILOSOPHY

We like different kinds of people, color, exotic/erotic experiences, strange foods and thoughts and non-rational order. We think the world would be better left wild than transformed into some techno-fantasy of rational order.
