Overview
About Me
Hi, I'm about to graduate from Exeter University after four years of studying International Relations and am desperate for a change of life pace. I need to travel and see the world and spend some time exploring and meeting new people. I'm quite outgoing and bubbly and love meeting new people and making new friends. I'm a rock climber and whitewater climber and love the outdoors and hiking and camping and am fascinated by the landscapes of Scandinavia, northern Scotland and the Outer Hebrides.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm looking to add another dimension to my travelling, as while travelling alone can be a fantastic way to learn about yourself, I find its in meeting other people, learning their stories and sharing your own that you get the most out of travelling.
I am a super outgoing, big-hearted person and love meeting and getting to know new people, making friends and welcoming nice people into my life! My next trip is to Iceland in June and it would be great to meet people and share life stories and experiences. I'm very happy to clean or cook in exchange for a bed/sofa to sleep on!
Interests
I'm very passionate about the outdoors and adventure activities. I'm a class 4 whitewater kayaker and keen rock climber (UK grade 6-ish). I love nature and wildlife photography (but admittedly am not very good at it haha). I also love reading fantasy books and spending time alone in nature just connecting with my surroundings, especially when camping. Also I really enjoy meeting new people, getting to know them, their stories and personalities and going on random adventures and certainly enjoy partying and nights out.
I also love photography and video-making and am looking to film my travels around the world and make videos of them, like I do for my kayaking and rock climbing trips.

Music, Movies, and Books
Anything folk or indie and I'm pretty much sold honestly, stuff like Fleet Foxes, or First Aid Kit or Passenger. But I also really enjoy post rock and electro-swing and dance/pop.
In terms of movies, I will watch most things, unless its racist, sexist, or homophobic then just no. Big fan of the original Lord of the Rings trilogy as well as any Quentin Tarantino or Wes Anderson movie.
And for books its epic and high fantasy that floats my boat. Authors like Steven Erickson and Brent Weeks are great. But my favourite author is Brandon Sanderson, his stormlight archive and mistborn trilogy are masterpieces.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
In 2014 I left England alone and spent a year living and studying in America during my degree, in the Appalachian region of Southwestern Virginia. It changed my life so totally and for the better, I wouldn't change it for the world!
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm a fair cook, and love social interaction, and just learning about other peoples lives, hearing their stories, getting to know people. I'm very empathetic and have a big heart so love making new friends, and sharing moments with people, either just funny jokes over dinner or quiet time in a park with a great atmosphere.
What I Can Share with Hosts
As a politics student, I love discussing politics, current affairs and international relations, but I am also a keen and fairly accomplished rock climber and whitewater kayaker and would love to share my knowledge and any tips I have. Also simply sharing stories of the places I've visited, lived and seen, and hopefully inspire others to travel to the places I love.
