About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Pack my backpack and go on a journey!
ABOUT ME
I grew up in a small town in southern Germany. After school I decided to go travelling around Canada and since then the travel bug got me! I love to meet people from other places and share experiences with them.
I’m an environmental engineer and I’m very enthusiastic about my field of work. I’m in between jobs at the moment and took the opportunity to go traveling to Asia for several months —> Hong Kong, China, Laos, Vietnam
PHILOSOPHY
Vivir y dejar vivir!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I'm always looking forward to host travellers at my place whenever I have the time for it! :)
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Couchsurfing is a great way to really get to know a place and its people. The more I have travelled, the more I get bored by touristic sights, and excited by meeting locals and learn about their way of living! With couchsurfing I've met so many inspiring, like-minded people and had experiences that really make a journey memorable!
Interests
I've played drums since being a little kid, and recently I've started playing in band again which I really enjoy. In my free time, I also try to learn the bass guitar - it's a great way to relax at the end of a long day! I love going to concerts/music festivals and explore music that I didn't know.
I love going outdoors: escaping the city and going hiking with friends, going camping, climbing, cycling, skiing/cross country skiing...
Trying new sports like tennis or taekwondo that I just started to learn.
Travelling whenever I have time for it. Smaller and bigger trips - recently trying to do it in a more sustainable way, meaning trying to avoid planes and travel more by bus and train whenever it's doable, and also trying to explore more the region where I live.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Lived in Colombia for a little while and explored this beautiful country and its people. Kind of opened my eyes for a lot of new things!
Worked and lived in my own little log cabin on a small farm in the wilderness of the Yukon (Northern Canada), completely off the grid and only accessible by boat, helping to plant trees and crops in this cold climate.
Teach, Learn, Share
TEACH:
I've been playing the drums for a fairly long time, so if you want to have a drum lesson, I'm your man! Also I can give Spanish lessons.
LEARN:
At least a few words of the native language of every country I'm visiting;
also I really want to learn dancing salsa properly!
