ABOUT ME

Hello, dear friends! Yes, yes! You read is true, "dear friends", I hope you will have the same opinion when you know me better.

My name is Artem. I was born and grew up in Russia, in the city of Saransk. In March 2014, I moved to another city. I currently live in St. Petersburg.

I was a very obedient child, and tried not create problems for my parents. I had a good childhood and I always remember these moments from the past! In childhood I did not have the internet and computer, but I was happy because I spent all my free time with friends! We played: run and touch, hide and seek, "Klek" and "Voynushka"( russian children's games ). In the summer, we built huts made of branches of trees. I am rambled into attics and roofs of old houses and searched ghosts! :) I and friends participated in the hikes to bake potatoes on the coals, play the guitar and tell stories looking at the night sky! We played in hockey on the street in the russian frost. In the yard winter we builded fortress from snow. I listened to tales is on old vinyl records, especially i remember the tale about Old Hottabych or as they say in the west "Genie". I am rested in summer camps for children, where for the first time fallen in love. I am looked to stars in the night sky and dreamed of being a Russian cosmonaut! :) Maybe you feel: "Russian cranks", but it was the best childhood!

After high school, I entered the Pedagogical Institute, who successfully graduated and received higher education. In student days I have special memories, good and bright. I always remember the first practice at the school, the first examination, the first student spring (so called creative student festival in which are participating students) and first trip to summer camp as a child educator.

I have no bad habits. I do not smoke and do not drink alcohol.
I am a positive and i have a positive outlook on life, there is creativity, commitment, openness to new knowledge and easy-learning.

PHILOSOPHY

Our life does not have to stand in the place! You need to be constantly in motion. You must move forward to get a new experience and an unforgettable impression. Only then we will be happy!

It as water! She moves like mountain stream or stands as puddle! Mountain stream flows into the river, the river flows to the sea, the sea is part of the ocean! That will be with a puddle? It dried!

As wrote Russian writer Ivan Bunin: "Man makes a happy three things: love, interesting work and the opportunity to travel". It is a fair and true statement! :)

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

In 11 years, I read adventure novels by Mark Twain, Jules Verne, Arthur Conan Doyle. Since childhood I have a great interest in travelling.
I am very glad that there is such a project as CS. I am very glad that there is people, involved in the project. And I hope it will be so in the future!
I love life. I love living in motion. I want to know the world and meet new interesting people. I can be the host and surfer. Since the main thing for me is the cultural exchange between the participants CS, extension of my consciousness about the world and people, self-development and self-determination! :)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Now I have very small experience in CouchSurfing, but I evolve! :) I will want definitely share their experiences and pass it to other participants CS, to make CouchSurfing more affordable and fun! :)

Interests

My interests are varied: travelling, science, tango, geography, psychology, sports (swimming), music, movies, art, playing guitar, etc!.. I love to explore!..
When inspiration comes, I write literary essays on different subjects. In the future I want to write a book.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love jazz music, in all its manifestations. Acquaintance with this genre of music began for me accidentally. In my small native land each year is held a jazz festival where participating world jazz stars! In that time I studied at the Institute and for students tickets were for a very low price. I bought a ticket and have not regretted it. Live music and jazz rhythms surprised me and gave a lot of good feelings. It was excellent! After the festival, I started to acquaintance with jazz standards and the history of jazz.
Also, i like Russian and foreign classical music. Creativity Jack Johnson, John Mayer, Eddie Vedder, etc!..

I love the theater, about him can talk endlessly. In St. Petersburg very a lot of theaters and in each of them are interesting performances.

In the movie, I love more the author's films, as is now fashionable to say "art - house". I like work: Jaco Van Dormael, Woody Allen, Alfred Joseph Hitchcock, Charles Spencer Chaplin, etc!..

My favourite literary genre: russian and foreign classics, journalism, adventure novels and educational journals, poetry.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, I served on a warship. My job was for observe surroundings in the Baltic sea.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can share my knowledge of Russian language and traditions. Also I can teach how to play russian songs on the guitar! :) I can teach you to cook Russian pancakes. I love sharing my ideas about life! :)
