Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I like travelling around the world and meeting people of different nationalities and learning more about other countries from inside and sharing my experience. Besides, sometimes I travel for working purposes (e.g. conferences, expeditions), therefore I honestly would be glad to stay with a hospitable host rather than in an expensive and boring hotel.
I hope that soon I'll be able to host and say "welcome" to some place in Russia, where I settle down some day.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have spent two years rehabilitating three orphaned Asiatic black bear cubs in a remote taiga forest on the Russian Far East.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share my experience of studying bears, tigers, foxes and marine mammals in the Russian Far East. I can tell endless stories about my expeditions to Kamchatka and Commander Islands, Russian Arctic and Far East. To whom it may concern, I can share my knowledge in rearing orphaned bears and my own kids. And I will listen thoroughly to your stories.
