About Me
Hi my name is Liz. I’m currently a nursing student in Vancouver but I want to come out of my shell of shyness and explore different places and meet new people. I work, study and live in the lovely city of Vancouver. Fun fact about me, I know where every thrift store/second hand store is like the back of my hand, so if you want to hangout and shop, I’ll show you the best shops, and the ones to avoid. A couple things I like to do is watch drag shows, go to art galleries, explore a city, take some photography, go swimming, go for a hike, try new food, exchange cool stories, and play baseball. As I said before, I can come off a little shy at first, but once I get comfortable around you, I’m a ball of fun. Yes, I am young, but don’t let my age fool you. I act a lot more mature than a lot of my managers will and take on a lot of responsibility looking after my younger siblings.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I’m trying to break out of my shell of shyness. This app seemed like a good platform to meet people and be good humans to each other
Interests
I’m very interested in Photography. I’m trying my best to improve my skills and taking lots of photos. I’m also really into music and singing. I’m always interested in having a drink and sing my heart out. I love to draw/colour when i have spare time. I haven’t drawn in a while since I’ve been in school, but I’m hoping that will change.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Ive played baseball at the national level. The story on how I got there is not too exciting. Our team won provincials and were sent to Quebec for about a week to play baseball. We represented the province ( British Columbia). I’d say this was my first time travelling outside the province and when I arrived to Quebec, I didn’t speak any French ( I took a very basic course when I was in high school). I managed to get around with no problem. You’d be surprised how many people understand hand gestures. Back to the story, we ended up loosing the tournament ( in fact I believe we came in last place), and went home. I made a lot of friends who I still keep in touch with from around Canada.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you how to throw a baseball. My coaches tell me I have very good mechanics so I can pass down my knowledge to help you. I’m willing to learn basically anything you teach me, and I can share my awesome personality, some scary Canadian folklore stories, Canadian cuisine ( as well as some cuisine from my parents and where they are from), Canadian English slang and some cool things from Canada.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I’m a very respectful person. If I am staying with you, I will do everything in my willpower to respect the space and the rules in which I’m staying at. This is my guarantee. I can cook you a meal of Canadian cuisine!! I don’t have a lot of money since I’m a student, so I cant offer much, but what I can offer is good memories and a dam good meal. If you let me stay, I can bring a little gift from Canada ( it’ll of course be a surprise and most likely hand made by my sister, she is a pro at knitting by the way)
