About Me
Hello! My name is Elizabeth Kanjorski. I am a Peace Corps Volunteer in Georgia. I live in the village of Charnali right outside of Batumi and would love to host travellers! My village isn't directly in the city, but it is about 40 minutes by Marshutka(note: the last Marshutka is at 7 PM and does not run on Sundays). Bolt/ taxi is available and costs between 15-30 Lari from downtown, surfers generally choose this option as it is faster than the Marshutka. I have a spare guest bedroom you can stay in.
Since it's kind of far from the city center, I'd recommend my place to someone who is interested in experiencing Georgian village life and all the "quirks" that come with it haha. Sometimes, the water might not be working in my part of the village or the traffic out of Batumi might be terrible. Close to my village is Gonio Fortress, an old Roman fortress, which is a ten minute taxi ride or an hour long walk.
For those interested in a more urban experience or those who don't have a lot of time to spend in Batumi, another host might be better simply because getting to my village can be a bit confusing and out of the way haha. That being said, I absolutely love having guests visit!
Also wanted to add that I'm vegan in case anyone brings food haha
Being able to meet new friends and interesting people is the #1 reason I am on this app and I have found it to be such a rewarding experience so far :-)
