I'm a TV news reporter from Anchorage, Alaska. I got bit by the travel bug as a kid and haven't been able to shake it since. I recently spent six years living and traveling in Europe -- I went to college in Spain, where I studied Journalism. I spent a semester abroad in Paris and lived in Belgium for a year and a half studying and working in news.

At my station, I specialize in reporting on state politics. I always enjoy a good a good policy discussion, and am interested in international politics.

Also, I love to dance. I started Salsa and Bachata while in Spain and continue to dance in the small Salsa community we have in Anchorage.

I've never tried Couchsurfing before, but when I travel to new places I always try to see the cities from a locals' perspective -- to really understand what it's like to live there. I'm interested in the cultural experience first, so staying with locals is an appealing option.
